This was the big day at the RiverRun Festival. Colleen and Chris saw three, count 'em, three, movies today, all over town, with our all-access pass. (Which Chris acted proud of, yet he managed to hide it after using it to gain admittance.)
The first movie was "Fathers and Sons." There were three vinyettes here, about different houses on the same trip. The first one was the best - Colleen gives that 9 out of 10 Reeses Cups. The other two featured big names, including Frasier's Dad, John Mahoney, playing a very-non Frasier-role, and the guy who played Juliane Margulies' boyfriend on ER, Ron Eldard, who played his gay son. That gets an 8. The third gets a 6. Overall: 8.
At this point Colleen and Chris had lunch at West End Cafe in Winston-Salem. Good, but Colleen thought overpriced.
The second movie was Colleen's favorite: Damn Good Dog, about the GA Bulldogs mascots - Colleen gives this a 10 out of 10. Was cool having all the GA bulldogs fans in the audience as well.
The final movie of the day was about a Winston-Salem's doctor change from man to woman. The documentary was told to be in "unedited form" although felt pretty finished product to Colleen. Pretty powerful, yet graphic. Colleen gives a 7 out of 10. --POSTED BY COLLEEN
