Colleen and Chris joined for one of the most event-filled days in blog history. The day started with Chris heroically figuring out how to change the cartridge in Colleen's printer, which led to a trip to Office Depot for a new cartridge. Small stuff, yes, but it counts.
We then headed to Tanglewood Park for The Lawn Party, featuring music, food and, well, lots of open lawn as not many people were there. Many jokes were made about the lack of spectators. The music wasn't bad, though Colleen and Chris could have done without the heat. We took part in BBQ wraps and Chris bought a bottle of wine. Colleen observed that nearly every attendee had a camera. We're not sure what they took pictures of. One highlight was the presence of a very large, perhaps man eating, red and black bug crawling in front of us. The bug very clearly was in a hurry to get somewhere.
Staying in Clemmons, we visited Chris' friends Bryan and Heather -- Chris wanted to prove to Colleen that they existed since he talked about them so much. Bryan and Heather were fine hosts, though Chris theoretically could have paid two people to pretend to be Bryan and Heather to trick Colleen. So there could be doubt about their true existence.
From there, it was off to Colleen's place for a screening of "Bull Durham." Chris was excited that Colleen would see this movie, but Colleen wasn't impressed -- she spent as much time cleaning and organizing the apartment as watching the movie. Between The Lawn Party and Bull Durham, Colleen and Chris earned no points.
Next up, a trip to Greensboro to send off a WXII coworker, Marcus Stroud. Colleen and Chris did lots of walking but eventually found the restaurant, Ganache, which was good.
Colleen and Chris listened to the NASCAR race on the way home (Matt Kenseth won) and discussed fantasy sports among other topics. It was an up-and-down day, but the presence of Colleen and Chris could be felt throughout the Triad. -- POSTED BY CHRIS
