Sept. 2, 2005

Colleen and Chris attended the final Warthogs baseball game of 2005, against Kinston. Colleen purchased a Warthogs pin to mark perhaps her final game at the venue. The best part of the night was the little boy singing me "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch. Clearly this boy will perform in the opera one day based on his emphatic hand gestures. Colleen and Chris recalled their 2005 baseball highlights, which included the freezing April night in Greensboro and the July 4 spectactular at historic Ernie Shore Field. Colleen and Chris lamented that the vendor with the $4 special (hot dog, chips and drink) wasn't there. A good time was had by all.
