Colleen and Chris, for the second consecutive year, ventured to the RiverRun International Film Festival in Winston-Salem. We'll be blogging more about this event, so stay tuned in coming days. Thursday's screening was "Bullrider," a film about the thrills and perils of, well, bull riding. The movie was at times graphic, as numerous riders took blows to the head, ankle, etc. Colleen and Chris were both amused that the bull as well as the rider gets points based on performance. Chris thought the best line was the guy who said bullriding was his lifelong dream, thus reading Romeo and Juliet in high school wasn't going to prepare him. The movie received 8 Reese's Cups out of a possible 10. Before the movie, Colleen and Chris ate an expensive restaurant -- the name of said eatery slips Chris' mind. Colleen and Chris both went cheap and ate soup. Chris seemed to earn points when he recalled Colleen's first line from her play that just finished its run. Chris usually can't remember stuff. A good time was had by all -- and that's no bull. -- POSTED BY CHRIS
