Chris attended Colleen's latest play, "You Can't Take It With You," at the High Point Community Theater. As was the case with Colleen's Kernersville play, Chris went solo but it will be considered a joint function and thus blogged. Colleen played Essie Carmichael, part of an eccentric but likable family that crosses paths with a stuffy, wealthy family in the good name of love. "Essie" danced and twirled up a storm in the pursuit of her dancing dreams and, not surprisingly, Chris rules that Colleen was the play's MVP. Chris was very impressed with the set, which was detailed right down to the candy wrappers on the floor. Chris got an aisle seat but became increasingly frustrated when he kept having to stand up to let people through. Chris considered banning people from entering his row but decided against it. Chris ate good High Point seafood before the play -- to that end, Chris gives the play four pieces of popcorn shrimp out of four possible pieces. Chris had his photo taken with Colleen and fellow WXII employee Lisa Fulk after the play. Lisa, by the way, had the line of the night. During the first intermission, Chris told Lisa "Colleen is putting on a great show" and Lisa said "Colleen IS the show." Good stuff. Colleen signed an autograph for a young fan -- Chris is impressed that Colleen is remembering the little people. A good time was had by all. -- POSTED BY CHRIS
