A word to our (four) readers, who have been wondering why there haven't been any updates on this here blog since May. Well, because this blog was designed to chronicle Colleen and Chris' adventures and they are no longer in the same state, there aren't a lot of opportunities for joint outings.
That said, Colleen asked for, and Chris graciously gave his permission, to let Colleen blog Lisa's wedding since, being a co-worker, she is a common link between the two of them. And since Chris couldn't go to the wedding, this gives her an opportunity to tell him (and our four readers) all about it.
The wedding had a "leaf" theme, which was beautifully carried out, right down to the annual pumpkin sale at the church. The flower girl carried leaves instead of flowers and Robin (shoutout to our blog reader!) looked gorgeous in her orangey dress. Lisa was also stunning, although boyfriend/fiance/husband Dan was glowing the most!
The guest list was a who's who of WXII employees past and present, which is a testament to how awesome Lisa is and how many lives she touched!
The fall theme was carried over to the reception where there was a pumpkin carved with Lisa and Dan's initials. We also had leaves on the tables and instead of a guest book, the bride and groom asked you to "leaf" a memory. Ha!
As far as this wedding goes, it gets five popcorn buckets, ten Reeses cups and two 2-liters of Coke. -- POSTED BY COLLEEN
